Christian Liipfert Speaks at ARMA Seminar
Counsel Christian Liipfert will speak on “Information Governance—A User’s Perspective” at an ARMA seminar addressing the challenges and opportunities of a hybrid working environment. The half-day virtual seminar on February 4, 2022, is being organized by the Austin ARMA chapter. Serving almost 6,000 professionals who manage and govern information, ARMA (Association of Records Managers and Administrators) members include records managers, archivists, corporate librarians, imaging specialists, legal professionals, IT managers, consultants and educators who work in a broad range of industries including government, legal, healthcare, financial services and petroleum.
“Hybrid working environments, where more and more employees spend a large portion of their time working from home rather than in an office, are here to stay, and present different Information Governance challenges than office-based work. This information-packed program will address how to respond to these challenges,” said Mr. Liipfert. Mr. Liipfert’s presentation will look at IG from a remote user’s perspective and offer suggestions on how the IG and Records and Information Managers can help.
A renowned expert on Information Governance, Mr. Liipfert served as an in-house lawyer for more than 25 years with large companies such as BP, Amoco and Schlumberger. Mr. Liipfert speaks and writes frequently on how Information Governance professionals can help organizations achieve their business objectives. His co-panelists on the program include Deborah Robbins, CRM, CIP, Research Data Manager at Arizona State University; John Spencer, U.S. Records and Information Management Service Delivery and Leader, Ernst & Young; Jeremy Wilson, Deputy CISO for Security Operations, State of Texas, Department of Information Resources (DIR).
