Partner Ted Banks Gave CLE Presentation on AI in the Legal Field

Ted Banks, along with Cliff Scott-Rudnick, gave a presentation to the members of the Decalogue Society in Chicago on how lawyers can and should use artificial intelligence in their practice.  Ted and Cliff discussed the risks of using AI, including “hallucinations” where the AI system will invent evidence (like fictitious cases) to support its reports. The use and benefits of a legal specific AI system, like Lexis AI, was demonstrated and the results of a query in Lexis AI were compared to the results of a query through a general purpose AI system like Chat GPT.  If you have any questions about the use of AI, please do not hesitate to contact Ted Banks at [email protected]
