Partner Ted Banks was quoted in Crain’s Chicago Business about the reasons why a company might set aside a reserve to cover possible expenses due to antitrust litigation.  Banks noted that setting aside a reserve does not automatically show that the company is admitting guilt in an antitrust matter.  Even if the company believes it has strong defenses, settling a lawsuit might be a prudent business move since it avoids the uncertainty and expense of litigation.
