Partner Ted Banks to speak at the Northwestern University Law Review Symposium on Fraud and the Erosion of Trust, October 28, 2022

Partner Ted Banks will be a featured speaker at the Northwestern University Law Review 2022 Symposium on Fraud and the Erosion of Trust. This year’s topic is timely and brings together scholars of history, sociology, economics, psychology, business, and corporate and consumer fraud with a diverse array of practitioners to explore the most effective ways to redress the rise in fraud and the accompanying decline in public trust.

Ted’s practice focuses on compliance counseling among other areas of the law. During the symposium, he will share his decades of experience in guiding corporations and other organizations through allegations of fraud and in the execution of viable ethics and compliance programs. Ted draws upon his real-world experience as an in-house counsel. and trusted advisor, in highly complex and sensitive ethics issues. He has studied some of the root causes of fraud and ethical lapses and will present a concise summary of how to spot and address these issues and provide pointers on how to set up durable, comprehensive, and effective compliance programs.

This year’s Symposium will be held on October 28, 2022, at Northwestern Pritzker School of Law, Thorne Auditorium from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Symposium is pending approval for five general CLE credit hours in the state of Illinois and will be held in person and broadcast virtually.
