Stephanie Scharf Leads Plenary at ABA National Conference on Litigation

Partner Stephanie Scharf, moderated the opening plenary session of the first-ever American Bar Association Section of Litigation conference directed to women trial lawyers.  Stephanie led a panel that included other well-regarded trial lawyers Kim Askew (Dallas), Trish Refo (Phoenix), and Hilarie Bass (Miami), and Judge Nancy Atlas, of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas (Houston).  The panel reviewed new statistics about the role of women in litigation and then had a far-ranging discussion about how to achieve first chair roles at trial, the hard skills and soft skills that are needed, and how to recover from victories and defeats.
